We enjoyed a wonderful quiz last night in aid of Kingston Cheder and JLGB.  The atmosphere and food were amazing.  A huge thanks to all the organisers who had worked so hard.

A fantastic time was had by all at our Surrey Hills Big Band evening on Sunday 11 September 2022.  We enjoyed Big Band music, swing and jazz as well as other popular tunes.  

We held our third Drop In Centre on Sunday 10th July. Whereas previously we welcomed around 10-30 Ukranian refugees, this time, amazingly, our fame had spread as far as Hounslow, Teddington and Twickenham. On Sunday, we held our annual cheder Prize Day. Prizes and trophies were awarded to the children to recognise their achievements and hard work. The children also sang a lovely medley of songs. Everyone had a really enjoyable time.

Our second Drop in Centre was very successful with a truly wonderful team of volunteers who worked hard to provide a lovely afternoon. We welcomed a  delightful local Russian / Ukranian / Israeli couple who were able to chat with the refugees. In celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, we enjoyed a garden party with good food and company.  The children enjoyed a game of croquet.

Kingston & Surbiton Synagogue recently held a drop-in centre for Ukrainian refugees, hosted by families in the local area. There were 34 guests in attendance, along with 8 volunteers including Rabbi Yechezkel and Rebbetzen Shulamit Mandelbaum. Evening of Music, cheese and Wine. The Surrey Hills Big Band Event was an enjoyed event by all whom attended. Warming the soul with swing music of Sammy Nestico to Quincy Jones.
