Shavuot

Seventy members of Kingston, Surbiton & District Synagogue enjoyed a Swiss-style raclette lunch at the shul on the first day of Shavuot.

The raclette, a type of cheese, melted and poured over potatoes, was the brainchild of Rebbetzen Shulamit Mandelbaum as both she and Rabbi Yechezkel Mandelbaum come from Switzerland. The KS&DS Ladies Guild provided accompanying salads and a delicious cheesecake and strawberriy dessert.
