Alert sirens sounded Wednesday evening in a number of Gaza border communities as a rocket launched from the Strip exploded in southern Israel… Earlier in the evening, a rocket fired from Gaza towards Israel failed to clear the border and landed inside the coastal strip. In response, an Israeli tank opened fire on a Hamas position in Gaza.
In 2014, Gaza terrorists launched 4,600 rockets and mortar shells at Israel, 1/4 of which were projected to land near areas populated by Israeli civilians. Iron Dome downed 735 and failed to intercept around 70, consistent with a 90% success rate. Gazan rockets killed five Israelis and one Thai civilian and injured 80. Additionally, nearly 300 terrorist rockets landed short inside Gaza, killing 13 Palestinian civilians, most of them children.
IDF search and rescue forces in Brazil working with local teams helped to recover 35 bodies buried under the mud. They also tracked down a group of 15 people that were believed to have been swallowed up by the mud, but were alive and well at another location.
Brazil’s President Bolsonaro thanked Israel for sending the rescue mission.

The Public Security Minister said the new report “reveals the true nature and goals of the BDS movement and its connection to terrorism and anti-Semitism…BDS rejects Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state within any borders. They want to see Israel wiped off the map.Promoting boycotts is a different means to achieve this goal.”
