TIMELINE OF ATTACKS 19-25 February (17.00 GMT)

Wednesday 24 Feb.

A 30-year-old Reserves Captain Eliav Gelman was killed by gunfire aimed at a terrorist who had attempted a stabbing attack on the soldier at a junction south of Jerusalem.

Two Arabs were caught with two pipe bombs and bullets hidden at a kiosk outside Herod’s Gate Jerusalem. They were arrested, no one was injured and the bombs were defused.

Kingston University Vice-Chancellor at KSDS

Professor Julius Weinberg, Vice-Chancellor of Kingston University, discussed ‘Extremism in British Universities – a Kingston Perspective’ at a packed meeting in shul.

Professor Weinberg, refuting allegations made by Prime Minister David Cameron that Kingston University had given extremist hate speakers a platform, said that the PM had been given the wrong data. Read more

TERROR ATTACKS continued this week with six attempted on Sunday alone.

Today, Thursday

Two 14-year-old Palestinian Arabs carried out a stabbing attack Thursday afternoon in the Sha’ar Binyamin Industrial Zone north of Jerusalem. One Israeli was murdered and another Israeli was seriously wounded.

OVERSEAS AID

With the death toll still rising in the wake of a 6.4-magnitude earthquake, Israeli humanitarian aid organization IsraAID has sent a team of three experts to Taiwan to assess needs in the country, and offer psychosocial support to quake victims still looking for family members.

Israel Update: 4 February 2016

ATTACKS ON ISRAELIS CONTINUED

Policewoman Hadar Cohen (19) was killed and a second policewoman badly wounded when three Palestinians shot and stabbed them outside Damascus Gate in Jerusalem’s Old City on Wednesday. A third victim, a 20-year-old Israeli, was lightly wounded.
