Leah Moscowitz of Wimbledon Chabad, Chana Hughes of Richmond, Tali Sagal of Sutton and our own Shoshana Landau of Kingston.
Standing Room Only
Our shul hall was buzzing on Thursday night (22 October) as over ninety people from Richmond, Sutton, Croydon Federation, Kingston Liberal, Wimbledon Reform and Wimbledon Chabad joined Kingston members at the first South London regional Challah Make. Rebbetzen Shoshana Landau welcomed everyone and explained the religious significance of making bread with special reference to the mitzvah of separating challah from the dough. After some energetic kneading, while the dough was proving, Rabbi Landau told an inspiring story about baking challot for Shabbat. One participant Mindi Ison said:” It was such fun with a marvellous atmosphere and so enjoyable to meet ladies I have never seen before from so many different synagogues.” – Hazel Green
